Both! The course is a 5km loop and you have the choice of going around once, or twice if you want to the full 10k. There will be a wristband showing whether you completed 5k or 10k.

Well, it’s no walk in the park. Oh hang on, it kind of is, if you’re walking! But this is a course packed with obstacles and mucky terrain. It also has the odd water crossing in there too. Choose to go at your own pace though and make it as difficult or as easy as you wish. Rat Race are renowned for putting on events that are a personal challenge, but doable, and this is no exception, You will definitely feel you have earned that fizz once you step off this course. But it is designed to be a hell of a lot of fun. For comparison, it is harder than some of the ‘entry level’’ style inflatable 5k runs and the like. But nowhere near as hard as some of the more ‘hard-core’ mud runs out there.
Not really but sort of. We do have some very cool inflatables in the course and we have a varied mix of other obstacles too, making this event far more varied than the inflatable-focussed challenges you may have seen or taken part in. You are likely to get muddy and wet should you chose to do so. Still, if you have done an inflatable 5k event then this event is 100% your obvious next port of call! The course is harder, due to the terrain and natural features. But if you have done an inflatable 5k, this is well within your grasp.
You will receive your race pack at Registration. We do not send race packs pre-event through the post. You will receive your t-shirt at Registration too.
Yep, don’t worry, it’s sorted! Once you finish, you will be handed your medal, a bottle of water, a yummy Rat Race Pit Stop bar and a token to redeem a glass of fizz on us at the bar.
We will have a well stocked water station half way around the course.
We will operate a free valuables drop for precious items that fit inside an A4 envelope. We will also operate an unmanned and uncovered bag drop in the Event Village where you may wish to leave some warm clothing in a waterproof bag. You can also leave items in a tent, car or with a spectator.
Registration will open on the Friday evening at 5pm. It will also operate throughout Saturday morning for those arriving then. Registration closes 30 minutes prior to each wave, so please don’t be late!
Race entry includes a finishers medal and a standard Rat Race tech tee, sizes are available on a first come first served basis at Registration. Specific event tees are available to purchase online and in the Rat Race store at the event while stocks last.
if you are entered as a team, it is assumed you will run together. Or at least, start the event together.
Solo entries are not transferable – you can’t give or sell your entry to anyone else. If you no longer wish to take part you can obtain an event credit to the value of your entry fee paid (terms and a fee apply) which you or another person can use towards next year’s event (or any other Rat Race event). If you have purchased a team of 5 or more runners, you can add or change team members up to 10 days before the event.
Yes. We want you to have the very best day out and that means it is entirely up to you which challenges you do or bypass.

No. Dogs will not be allowed to accompany runners. While many of us love dogs some runners and crew do not, and they complicate the event management. This event is not suitable for dogs for several reasons and would complicate the event support processes including medical rescue, our sweeper logistics, our pledges to farmers with livestock, hygiene where we are serving food, areas that are busy with traffic.
No. We do not offer refunds but we do offer event transfer vouchers, so you can put your credit to another event. We need 10 calendar days’ notice prior to the event to make these changes plus you will need to pay a £15 or 15% (whichever is greater) cancellation fee. Our pricing structure rewards those that commit furthest in advance and we recommend customers hold the appropriate insurance to cover non-attendance for issues such as illness or travel problems. No it is over rough terrain and there are water features. It is not therefore wheelchair-friendly.
Get Fizzical is a female only run and party, men are welcome to spectate through the day until 5pm. The campsite is a ladies only environment and men will not be permitted. There will be some male crew on site performing various roles however our volunteer recruitment policy at this event is women only.
There are no prizes at this event. We reward everyone who completes the challenge the same way, with the same goodies, medals and fizz!
The Festival, Camping, Entertainment and Facilities
All camping is in the same large designated camping area. This will include warm showers and toilets. We will have ‘tent only’ pitches for those who wish to use the main car park and carry their gear to the campsite. Alternatively we have our Park and Pitch service, allowing you to camp right next to your vehicle in a generous 6x6m reserved pitch area.
All campers can use the showers. All this shower infrastructure and water needs to be brought in and out of the venue just for the event and is a real investment in customer comfort. The showers are there to allow folk to have a quick wash and freshen up so please don’t plan on a long soak post run. Please keep usage down to 5 minutes. We recommend you consider the best time to wash as there will be busy times when everyone has finished running.
We will have a dedicated tent available for you to use your own hair dryers and straighteners. This tent will also have dressing tables and mirrors. Please remember you are in a temporary Campsite and not a building. Those hair dryers do take a fair amount of electricity and we are running on generators, not a power station. So, demand will likely be high and plugs are limited to what we have. There will be plenty, but please work with us and each other to ensure that everyone gets fair use of the facilities.
It will cost £10 per vehicle if you sign up in advance. We will then post you out a car park pass, which also has discount vouchers to spend in the Rat Race Store on site. If you pay for parking on the day, it will cost £15 per vehicle. If you buy your parking pass in advance, it is only £10 and you can do so here. Car sharing helps every one: your pocket, the ground at the venue, and the planet.
Yes, you can. We are offering a Park and Pitch option for £35, which allows you a generous 6m x 6m pitch area in which to park your car and pitch your tent right next to it. This covers the vehicle and the pitch and not the campers inside. For more info on camping rates, click HERE.
The campsite will be laid out so you have plenty of space and cars will be marshalled into position so as to minimise risk to tents and people. However once parked up, we ask that you consider not moving your vehicle until the event is over. If you do think you will need to move your car at any point over the weekend, you may do so. However in order that we keep the risk from vehicle movements to a minimum, once your vehicle leaves the Park and Pitch area, it may not return and should be deposited for the remainder of the weekend in the main car park. If you think we will be coming and going a fair bit, it is better to use our day car park, which is a little bit further away from the action, but which is accessible to the outside world at all times.
Yes but please note the following: The camping tickets can only be collected by the person that purchased them. All pitches are allocated on a first-come first-served basis so best you arrive together. Please consider others when setting up your tent and ensure it is not in the firebreaks or we will need to remove it.
If you pre-purchase parking or camper van/ caravan tickets, we will send these items through the post. You can pay for parking on the day too, although it will cost you more.
Yes, no problem. If you are supporting friends or family who are running but you want to enjoy the weekend vibe and party, that’s fine. You will need to pay for camping (if camping) and you will need to purchase a Party ticket. Check out the Ticket Shop here.
This event is not designed for children and is targeted for adult ladies and teenage girls (13+) with parental supervision. General admission on Saturday is free, from 5pm Get Fizzical is ticketed and a female only site.

The camp site is near to the car park and camping registration will take place there. Park up as directed, go get your camping tickets, then access the camp site. Those with Park and Pitch Reserved Camping Pitches will be directed to a parking holding area where they can leave their car while collecting their individual camping passes. Please note tickets can only be picked up by the bill payer.
Please follow events signs to the event entrance. There will be a one way system in place. Parking is £10 per vehicle when purchased in advance (or £15 on the day) and this will cover Friday through to Sunday. You can re-enter the site with the ticket if you need to leave.
